Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (whole or separated)
  • 1 cup Italian salad dressing (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper (adjust to taste)
  • (Optional) ½ cup all-purpose flour or breadcrumbs for extra crunch
  • Oil for frying (peanut, canola, or vegetable)

Instructions

  • 1. Marinate the Wings:
Place chicken wings in a bowl or zip-top bag. Pour in the Italian dressing and let the wings sit in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for deeper flavor.
    2. Heat the Oil:
In a deep skillet or fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer to maintain a consistent temperature.
    3.Optional Breading:
If you like extra crunch, remove wings from marinade and lightly coat them in flour or breadcrumbs. Shake off any excess before frying.
    4. Frying Process:
Carefully place the wings into the hot oil in small batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for about 8–10 minutes, or until the wings are golden-brown and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
    5. Drain & Serve:
Transfer cooked wings to a wire rack or a paper towel–lined plate to remove excess oil. Serve immediately while they’re hot, and enjoy!

Notes

-For a lighter option, bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 40 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Air-fry at 380°F (193°C) for 20–25 minutes, then finish at 400°F (204°C) for 5 more minutes to crisp.
- Try adding a honey-garlic sauce or a balsamic glaze for extra flavor.
