  • 1 lb skirt steak
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for marinating)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce1 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cuminSalt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for searing)
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp honey (for a sweet touch)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Marinade:In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, garlic, cumin, and salt & pepper. Add any optional additions like chili powder or honey for extra flavor.
    Marinate the Steak:Coat the skirt steak with the marinade and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
    Heat the Pan:Heat vegetable oil in a cast-iron skillet or on a grill over high heat.
    Cook the Steak:Place the marinated steak onto the hot surface. Sear for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust the time for your preferred doneness.
    Rest and Slice:Remove the steak and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. Slice thinly against the grain to maximize tenderness.
