A delicious twist on traditional nachos, Nachos Chicken Bread combines toasted bread with seasoned chicken, melted cheese, salsa, and fresh toppings for a satisfying, cheesy meal perfect for any occasion.
2 cups cooked and shredded chicken (rotisserie or homemade)
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar and Monterey Jack blend)
1 cup salsa (store-bought or homemade)
1 can black olives, sliced
1 jalapeno, sliced (optional)
Fresh cilantro for garnish
1 avocado, diced
1/2 cup sour cream
Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
Make the Bread Base: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the bread loaf horizontally in half to create two open pieces. Place the bread on a baking pan and toast for about 5 minutes, until golden.Assemble the Chicken Mixture: In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken and salsa. If using canned chicken, drain it and combine with the salsa.Layer the Ingredients: Once the bread is toasted, evenly spread the chicken mixture over both sides. Top with shredded cheese, then sprinkle black olives and jalapenos on top.Bake to Perfection: Place the bread in the oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread edges are crispy.Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro and diced avocado. Serve with sour cream and lime wedges.
