Ingredients
  

  • 1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    In a large bowl, combine the sugar and flour.
    Add the pineapple and shredded cheese, mixing until evenly coated.Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it out evenly.
    In a separate bowl, mix the crushed crackers with melted butter, then sprinkle this mixture on top of the pineapple and cheese layer.
    Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the casserole is bubbly and golden on top.
    Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use moderate-sharp cheddar for a balanced flavor, or experiment with different cheeses like mozzarella for a milder taste.
  • For added texture, try substituting part of the crackers with breadcrumbs or crushed nuts.
